Is it possible for your water to break and just be leaking out very slowly for a couple of days?

I’m 37 weeks along and I’ve been experiencing a very light yellow “leak” for the past two days or so. I wasn’t sure if it was from the baby pushing on my bladder or if it could in fact be amniotic fluid. Panty liners seem to be sufficient protection so the leak isn’t that heavy. Is this normal?

yes you can get a small tear in your water and it will leak i suggest you go make sure he/she has enough fluid  because without fluid infections can get in im not trying to scare you that is what my doc told me befor i had my son

Yep, I agree with ‘newmomma12’ – though at 37 weeks you may be starting labor.  You should definitely check with a doctor to make sure the baby’s safe, and also keep an eye on your temperature – a fever can indicate an infection.  Sometimes a water bag will seal back up if you go on bed rest for a few days, but at this far along it wouldn’t hurt the baby if you were going into labor, either.

yes that happened to my mom when she was pregnant with my sister

I’ve been having the same problem today.  My midwife told me to come in so she could check me out.  It started as a little gush, and then I put a pad on, and from there on out it’s been a yellow leak.  Walking kind of progressed it too, but I only did that because my midwife suggested it.
